How to do a digital marketing campaign?

Whether you’re just starting a business or an established business, having a clearly defined marketing strategy will help you.

Having a plan will improve your presence online, which will then lead to more leads.

You cannot expect to throw up a website to create a blog and social media posts and get leads.

Like any marketing, you need to have a clear definition of your target audience, creating informative and exciting content for that audience to relate to.

Set your objectives:

1. Make it clear to yourself what your mission is

Once your purpose is clear to yourself, your digital marketing goals should align with your overall plan.

Writing a mission statement is an excellent way of defining who you are.

For example, if you aim to have your business as the go-to solution provider for a specific service or a product.

Then say this on your website and any marketing collateral where people want to learn who you are and what you do.

2. Measure your efforts previously and now

Use Google Analytics that monitors what people are looking at on your website, and research what has spiked an interest. You can also learn what pitfalls were in your previous campaigns and communications.

Also, social media individual, analytics engagement tracking can help you look at what seems to be attracting attention and what doesn’t?

3. Who’s your customer?

The old type of marketing your products to your customers has gone. You cannot tell them what they need. You need to engage with your customers and serve them.

A thorough understanding of your customers and knowing their social status, gender, occupation, and budget are among other metrics. You can use this information to identify their needs and market effectively.

4. Communicating with your customers

Different audiences respond well to different kinds of digital marketing strategies—for example, mobile apps. Emails are the preferred choice for older customers.

  • Email – A carefully thought out email, beginning with the subject line and call to action.
  • Blog – Blogs are useful in offering personal insights to your customers about your business, making it more approachable and human.
  • Apps – It will cost you quite a bit to have an app created for your business. A good number of small companies have apps which they use to send their customers updates and offers.
  • Social media – Creating a business profile on social media platforms will enable you to engage with would-be customers and study what they browse.
  • Viral campaigns – If done correctly, you can create free advertisement as the customer is spreading the word for you. You need to understand your customer to know what they would pass on to friends and business associates.
  • SEO – If you create useful blog pages on your website and social media accounts, this will cause interest in search engines. It will enable your site to move up the Google rankings.

5. Campaign tracking

Google Analytics is a great place to start; it gives you information such as what pages on your website are accessible and much more!

6. Tips and hints

If you can focus on specific events in the news and popular topics, this will also help catch traffic.

It’s all about being relevant, helpful and informative to your customers, and they will then notice your efforts.
